The Deer Hunter 2014 Holiday Update is Really… Festive

The most recent addition to the nearly 20-year-old Deer Hunter game franchise is Glu Mobile’s Deer Hunter 2014. Just as you might expect, the game is about traveling to exotic locales with an array of weapons in order to hunt deer and various other fauna. Pretty straightforward.

But, just in time for Xmas, those “various other fauna” have taken a decidedly festive turn. Some screencaps for your viewing pleasure…

I thought I felt badly about shooting the pretty little deer in its peaceful field of flowers. Rudolph on his way to save Xmas took it to eleven.

Question: Why are the polar bears in the desert? Is that some sort of shoutout to Lost?
